Rhombus Records is proud to announce the release of our first CD for legendary Jazz Guitarist Larry Coryell “Laid Back & Blues” recorded live at the Sky Church in
Seattle. Larry performs original compositions as well as standards “Body And Soul”
and “Straight No Chaser” with some of the best musicians in Seattle including; Mark
Seales, Piano, Dean Hodges, Drums, Chuck Deardorf, bass and a special appearance
by vocalist Tracey Piergross on “Gimme One Reason”.
Other Coryell compositions include “No More Booze Minor Blues”, “Tracey”, “The
Dragon’s Grate”, “Denver In April”, and “Not Exactly Like BB”.
This straight ahead live set showcasing Larry’s legendary Guitar playing and vocals

Tenor Combustion was recorded during June/July, 1996 by Gene Stone with a Jazz Quintet, under the musical direction of Kent Glenn, comprised of some of the finest and most-in-demand jazz musicians on the west coast;

Glenn - Piano and Putter Smith - Bass. Tenor Combustion is a follow-on to Vintage Stonejazz (released April 20th,2004) as part of a series dedicated to the great jazz of this era.

and Mongo Santamaria, Trumpet player Elliott Caine’s Quintet plays original
compositions and a cover of “I Thought About You” on his new CD “Blues
From Mars” for Rhombus Records.
“Blues From Mars” features some of the best musicians in Los Angeles with
guest appearances by Justo Almario on Tenor Sax, DJ Bonebrake on Vibes,
and Munyungo on percussion.
Elliott ‘s two previous releases “Orientation”, and “Le Super Cool” were met

West Coast Composer/Vocalist/Bassist /Percussionist Alfredo Rubalcava presents a program of originals and arrangements on his new CD for Rhombus Records, "Heart Of The Warrior".
Alfredo was an original member of the famous East Los Angeles Latin Rock group Tierra and has been a fixture in the Los Angeles music scene since the 70's. Joined by ace L.A. musicians featuring Leon Bisquera-Keyboards/Programming, Joe Calderon-Guitar and Bobby Rodriguez-on Trumpet. Alfredo and band create
a style of Latin, Rock, Pop, and Jazz that is all their own.
